Infosys reveals “irregular site visitors” on Revenue Tax Return web site; IT division; Revenue Tax E-Submitting

As taxpayers are going through issues in accessing the e-filing portal, the Revenue Tax Division stated on Saturday that software program supplier Infosys is taking “proactive measures” to sort out the ‘irregular site visitors’ on the portal.

IT Division tweeted, “It has been noticed that taxpayers are going through issues in accessing the ITD e-filing portal. As knowledgeable by @Infosys, they’ve observed some irregular site visitors on the portal for which Proactive steps are being taken.”

The brand new e-filing portal www.incometax.gov.in, launched on June 7, 2021, started with taxpayers and professionals reporting discrepancies and difficulties in its functioning. The contract to develop the portal was awarded to Infosys in 2019.

Just lately, the portal confronted blockages on the primary anniversary of its launch and lots of customers complained that they had been unable to log into the portal, whereas some complained of a glitch within the search performance.

The federal government has paid Rs 164.5 crore to Infosys for organising a brand new earnings tax e-filing portal.
